Norton Hospitals Agreed to Pay $197,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing Excluded Individuals
After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Norton Hospitals, Inc., Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton King’s Daughters’ Health, Inc., Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Community Medical Associates, Inc. and Norton Healthcare, Inc. (collectively, “Norton Hospitals”), Kentucky, agreed to pay $197,324.15 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Norton Hospitals employed three individuals that it knew or should have known were excluded from participation in Federal health care programs.
