North Central Ohio Family Care Center and Dr. James Heddleson Agreed to Pay $66,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims that Did Not Meet Billing Requirements

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, North Central Ohio Family Care Center, Inc. and Dr. James Heddleson (collectively, ōthe Centerö), Galion, Ohio, agreed to pay $66,174.08 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that the Center received payments for services billed by Dr. James Heddleson for discharge day evaluation and management billed as performed at times after the patients were discharged.
