New Century Hospice-Farmville Agreed to Pay $27,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Provided by an Unqualified Social Worker

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, New Century Hospice of Richmond, LLC d/b/a New Century Hospice-Farmville (New Century), Virginia, agreed to pay $27,408.47 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that New Century submitted claims to Medicare and Virginia Medicaid for home health services that included services provided by an individual that did not meet the Medicare requirements for a qualified social worker.
