Nevada Heart and Vascular Center Agreed to Pay $226,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Improper Claims for Sleep Studies

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Nevada Heart and Vascular Center (NHVC), Henderson, Nevada, agreed to pay $226,448.12 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that NHVC submitted claims to Medicare claims for sleep studies that were not reviewed or timely signed by a physician board certified in sleep medicine.
