After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Lorien Life Center-Harford II, Inc. d/b/a Lorien Bulle Rock (Lorien Bulle Rock), Havre de Grace, Maryland, agreed to pay $90,462.20 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Lorien Bulle Rock submitted claims to Medicare and Medicaid for services provided by six unlicensed nursing assistants. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the individual during the period they worked without a valid license.
