Longwood Management Corp. and Alden Terrace Convalescent Hospital Agreed to Pay $22,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Individual Excluded from California Medicaid

After it disclosed conduct to OIG pursuant to its CIA, Longwood Management Corp. (Longwood), and a facility it manages, Alden Terrace Convalescent Hospital (Alden Terrace), California, entered into a $22,769.34 settlement agreement with OIG. OIG alleged that Alden Terrace employed an individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in the California Medicaid program (Medi-Cal) and that no Medi-Cal payments could be made for items or services the individual furnished.
