Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital Agreed to Pay $3 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Hyperbaric Oxygen Services and Wound Care Services Not Performed or Supervised as Billed

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital (Kit Carson), Colorado, agreed to pay $3,093,850.47 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Kit Carson received payment for services at its Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic for hyperbaric oxygen services and wound care, that were not performed or supervised as billed to Federal health care programs.
