Kevin Cox Agreed to Be Excluded for 8 Years for Billing for Home Care Services Not Actually Performed

On August 6, 2021, in connection with the resolution of his False Claims Act liability, Kevin Cox (Cox), Oregon, agreed to be excluded under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7) for 8 years. The investigation revealed and OIG alleged that Cox, through his company At Home Care, LLC d/b/a At Home Care Group (AHCG), caused the submission of false claims to the Oregon Medicaid program by altering caregiver scheduling calendars so AHCG billed the Oregon Medicaid program for hours of in-home care that were not actually performed and received compensation for these false billings.
