Jason Dreyer, DO Agreed to Be Excluded for 9 Years for Performing Medically Unnecessary Procedures

On April 20, 2023, in connection with the resolution of his False Claims Act liability, Jason A. Dreyer, D.O., Spokane, Washington, agreed to be excluded under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7) and 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(6)(B) for 9 years. The investigation revealed and OIG alleged that Dr. Dreyer caused false claims to be submitted to Federal health care programs for neurosurgery services that did not meet the criteria for reimbursement under the Federal health care programs, were medically unnecessary, or were otherwise improper. Senior Counsel Felicia Heimer represented OIG.
