Islote Drug Agreed to Pay $93,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Medications that Were Not Provided as Claimed

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Islote Drug Inc. (Islote), Arecibo, Puerto Rico, entered into a $93,233.63 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Islote submitted claims to Medicare for the branded drug Farxiga, when it dispensed the generic drug Dapaglifloxin.
