Healogics and St. John’s Riverside Hospital Agreed to Pay $426,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Excessive Units of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment

After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Healogics, LLC (Healogics), Florida, and St. John’s Riverside Hospital (SJRH), New York, agreed to pay $426,431.01 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that certain Healogics employees caused SJRH to submit claims to, and receive reimbursement from, Federal health care programs for units of hyperbaric oxygen treatment that were in excess of the units actually provided to the patient.
