Federal And State Authorities Held A Strategic Meeting On Pandemic Fraud Schemes And Ongoing Investigations
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - On October 7, 2021, state and federal authorities met in a strategic planning session on the pandemic fraud schemes that are being investigated throughout Puerto Rico. The session held at the FBI offices in San Juan served as an opportunity for all law enforcement agencies investigating pandemic fraud to discuss the various fraud schemes they have already identified in Puerto Rico. Throughout the day, the participants shared information about the ongoing investigations, and the authorities pledged to continue cooperating and coordinating with each other to ensure the most efficient use of investigative resources.
