Estes Park Health and UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center Agreed to Pay $245,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Improper Remuneration in the Form of Excess Compensation

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, The Park Hospital d/b/a Estes Park Health and UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center (Estes Park Health and UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center), Estes Park, Colorado, agreed to pay $245,860.50 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Estes Park Health and UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center paid remuneration to an employed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, in the form of excess compensation that was not for the provision of covered items and services.
