Dr. Miguel Angel Molinas and Miguel Angel Molinas, M.D., P.A. Agreed to Pay $185,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims Dr. Molinas Did Not Perform or Directly Supervise

On February 17, 2021, Miguel Angel Molinas, M.D. and Miguel Angel Molinas, M.D., P.A. (collectively, “Molinas”), Brownsville, Texas, entered into a $185,410.68 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Molinas submitted claims to Medicare for CPT codes 99203, 99204, 99211, 99212, 99213, 99214, 99349, and 99350 where Dr. Molinas did not personally perform or directly supervise the services while he was traveling outside the United States or the State of Texas.
