Doctors on Wheels Agreed to Pay $84,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Excluded Individual
On August 18, 2021, Doctors on Wheels (DOW), Des Plaines, Illinois, entered into an $84,693.84 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that DOW employed an individual who was excluded from participating in any Federal health care program. OIG's investigation revealed that the excluded individual, a medical clerk, provided items or services that were billed to Federal health care programs.
