Daniel Aronowitz Agreed to Be Excluded for 3 Years for Causing the Submission of Improperly Billed Claims for Skin Substitute Products

On April 27, 2023, in connection with the resolution of his False Claims Act liability, Daniel Aronowitz, Redondo Beach, California, agreed to be excluded under 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7(b)(7) for three years. The investigation revealed and OIG alleged that Daniel Aronowitz knowingly submitted or caused to be submitted to the Medicare and Medicaid programs improperly billed claims for the application of skin substitute products and sought reimbursement through multiple claims for the same piece of single-use skin substitute product. Senior Counsel Patrice Drew represented OIG.
