After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, the City of Wheeling, West Virginia Fire Department (Wheeling, FD), Wheeling, Virginia, agreed to pay $36,022.26 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Wheeling FD submitted claims for ambulance services provided by a paramedic that contained false patient signatures.
