Choice HomeCare Agreed to Pay $34.9 Million for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Not Provided or for Falsified Dates of Services

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Choice HomeCare, LLC (Choice), Sherman Oaks, California, agreed to pay $34,980,876 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Choice submitted claims for in-home care services to the California Medicaid program for: (1) care hours that were not provided; and (2) falsified dates of service.
