Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Agreed to Pay $23,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Individual Excluded from Pennsylvania Medicaid
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, agreed to pay $23,321.34 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that CHOP employed an individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in the Pennsylvania Medicaid program and that no Pennsylvania Medicaid program payments could be made for items or services the individual furnished.
