Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville Agreed to Pay $21,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Excluded Individual

On March 14, 2024, Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville (BHDM), Madisonville, Kentucky, entered into a $21,402.24 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that BHDM employed an individual who was excluded from participating in any Federal health care program. OIG’s investigation revealed that the excluded individual, a paramedic, provided items or services that were billed to Federal health care programs. Deputy Chief Nicole Caucci represented OIG.
