Aurora Diagnostics Agreed to Pay $50,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Paying Remuneration in the Form of Meals, Entertainment and Other Gifts in Exchange for Referrals
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Aurora Diagnostics, LLC (Aurora), Florida, agreed to pay $50,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Aurora paid remuneration through its salespersons in the form of meals, entertainment, and other gifts to fifty-two referral sources in order to obtain referrals for subsidiaries.
