Attorney General Ken Paxton's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Plays Key Role in Largest Dismantling of Health Care Fraud in U.S. History. U.S.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) played a major role in the largest health care fraud enforcement action in U.S. history, resulting in criminal charges against 30 defendants related to more than a dozen fraudulent health care schemes in Texas. The schemes collectively accounted for more than $177 million in fraudulent bills, $1.7 million in bribes, and illegal diversion of more than 10 million opioid pills.
