Alternative Consulting Enterprises, Supportive Concepts for Families, and Inperium Agreed to Pay $111,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Not Provided as Claimed
On February 8, 2022, Alternative Consulting Enterprises, LLC (ACE), Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc. (SCF), and Inperium, Inc. (Inperium), with multiple locations in Pennsylvania, entered into a $111,019.44 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that ACE, SCF, and Inperium submitted claims for psychotherapy services as if provided by a psychiatrist, when the claims were not, in fact, rendered or supervised by the psychiatrist because they were out of the country. OIG also alleged that ACE, SCF, and Inperium submitted claims for psychotherapy services as if provided by another psychiatrist when the services were not, in fact, rendered or supervised by the psychiatrist. OIG’s Office of Investigations and Office of Counsel to the Inspector General, represented by Senior Counsel Jennifer Leonardis, collaborated to achieve this resolution.
