AG Conway Announces Sentencing of Former CDO Employee
Attorney General Jack Conway and his Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control Unit today announced the sentencing of a former Consumer Directed Options (CDO) employee on charges involving theft and fraud. On May 20, William Qualls, 22, pleaded guilty in Jefferson Circuit Court to theft by unlawful taking under $10,000 and devising or engaging in a scheme to defraud the Kentucky Medicaid program. Qualls was sentenced today and received a three-year sentence, which will be probated for a period of five years. He was also ordered to repay $3,076.50 to the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services.
