Advanced Garden State Cardiology Agreed to Pay $159,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Excluded Individual and Submitting Claims for Services Provided by an Unlicensed and Excluded Individual
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Advanced Garden State Cardiology, LLC (AGSC), New Jersey, agreed to pay $159,114.10 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that AGSC employed an individual that it knew or should have known was unlicensed as well as excluded from participation in Federal health care programs. OIG also alleged that AGSC employed a second individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in Federal health care programs.
