Arkansas Made Incorrect Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Payments to Hospitals

Issued on  | Posted on  | Report number: A-06-14-00010

Report Materials

The Arkansas Department of Human Services (State agency) made incorrect electronic health record incentive payments to 14 hospitals. Specifically, for 13 hospitals, the State agency made incorrect payments totaling $1.2 million, which resulted in a net overpayment of $79,000. We were unable to determine what portion of the incentive payment to one hospital was incorrect and set aside the entire payment of $1.5 million for the State agency to work with the hospital to determine the correct incentive payment.
