The Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicaid (State agency), did not always make Medicaid payments for hospice general inpatient care payments services in accordance with Federal and State requirements. As a result, the State agency's claim for hospice general inpatient hospice services was overstated by approximately $28,000 ($17,000 Federal share).
