Shelby Co. Woman Charged With TennCare Doctor Shopping
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Shelby County woman is charged with TennCare fraud involving doctor shopping, or using TennCare to visit multiple doctors in a short time period in order to obtain controlled substance prescriptions. The Office of Inspector General, with assistance from Memphis Police, today announced the arrest of Brenda Walton, 56, of Cordova. She is charged with three counts of doctor shopping for drugs, using TennCare as payment.
