Florida Respiratory Therapist and His Sleep Clinic Agree to Voluntary Exclusion

On August 24, 2014, in connection with the resolution of False Claims Act liability, a Florida respiratory therapist and his sleep clinic agreed to be excluded from participating in Federal health care programs for a period of eight years under U.S.C. § 1320a-7(b)(7). OIG's revealed the respiratory therapist and his sleep clinic submitted claims for polysomnographic sleep studies and psychological testing that was not medically necessary, was not conducted by the appropriately licensed individuals, or was not actually performed.
