Convicted Felon Arrested for More Than $50,000 in Medicaid Fraud
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Attorney General Pam Bondi's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the Orlando Police Department today arrested a convicted felon for allegedly defrauding the Medicaid program out of at least $51,000. In 2012, Orange County resident Tammy Scarborough, 47, was convicted of racketeering. While serving probation for the crime, Scarborough began operating Hands on Central Florida, a Targeted Case Management Company. One condition of Scarborough's probation prohibited working as a Medicaid provider or with any provider that bills the Medicaid program.
