Bluestone Physician Services Florida Agreed to Pay $31,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Nursing Services Not Provided as Claimed
After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Bluestone Physician Services Florida, LLC, and Bluestone National, LLC (collectively, "Bluestone"), Florida, agreed to pay $31,021.50 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Bluestone submitted false or fraudulent claims to Medicare. Specifically, Bluestone became aware that a member of its nursing professional staff had submitted false claims to Medicare consisting of claims for patients who had, in fact, not been seen as documented, and claims not supported by the underlying documentation.
