Shore Orthopaedic University Associates, Charles Krome, DO, and OrthoNJ Agreed to Pay $333,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Unapproved Services
After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Shore Orthopaedic University Associates, P.A., Charles N. Krome, D.O., and OrthoNJ, LLC (collectively, “Shore”), New Jersey, agreed to pay $333,645.83 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Shore submitted claims to Federal health care programs using code Q4206 for the use of Fluid Flow, an amniotic fluid growth factor injection product that treats orthopedic patients, to treat conditions which were not approved by Medicare.
