After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Sagis, PLLC (Sagis), Texas, agreed to pay $1,116,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Sagis’ former owner and CEO received remuneration from a laboratory in exchange for Sagis using the laboratory as its reference laboratory for epidermal nerve fiber density testing.
