After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Leominster Dermatology, LLP (Leominster), Massachusetts, agreed to pay $149,447.82 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Leominster sought reimbursement for phototherapy services that were not provided as claimed. Specifically, Leominster submitted claims for phototherapy services using Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code 96910, where CPT code 96900 was appropriate, resulting in a higher payment from Medicare.
