Auburn Home in Waconia and Auburn Manor Agreed to Pay $17,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Provided by Unlicensed Individuals

After they self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Moravian Care Housing Corporation d/b/a Auburn Home in Waconia (Auburn Home) and Auburn Manor, Minnesota, agreed to pay $17,139.60 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Auburn Home and Auburn Manor submitted claims for items and services furnished by two unlicensed nurses. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the nurses during the period they worked without a valid license.
