Health Care Facilities and Geographic Areas With Potentially Limited Response Capabilities During the 2024 Hurricane Season
Hurricane season spans June 1 through November 30 each year, and the 2024 hurricane season was forecast to have above-normal storm activity. To strengthen preparedness and response capabilities—and ultimately improve continuity of care—we will synthesize program and performance data to provide new insights about health care facilities and geographic areas that may be at risk and potentially less prepared for a hurricane or similar storm event. This information could be used by HHS to minimize the potential effects of these risks before, during, or following a hurricane event.
