Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction External Peer Review

The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency external peer review program is designed to assure OIGs and their stakeholders of an Inspection & Evaluation (I&E) organization's compliance with Blue Book standards. Specifically, the external peer review of an OIG's I&E organization is designed to determine whether the reviewed organization's internal policies and procedures are consistent with Blue Book standards and whether the reviewed reports generally complied with Blue Book standards and the reviewed organization's associated internal policies and procedures. This evaluation will review the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) policies and procedures for the Audit and Inspection Directorate, the Research and Analysis Directorate, and The Lessons Learned Program to determine whether they are consistent with Blue Book standards. This evaluation will also review three SIGAR reports to determine whether they are consistent with Blue Book policies and internal policies and procedures.
