For the period January 1, 1996, to January 1, 2007, Cooperativa de Seguros de Vida de Puerto Rico did not always comply with the Medicare contract's pension segmentation requirements when identifying the Medicare segment's initial asset base and while updating Medicare segment assets from the initial asset base to January 1, 2007, and as a result, understated the Medicare segment pension assets by $858,000.
