Salary and Nonsalary Costs Claimed by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Were Allowable
For fiscal years 2009 and 2010, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center claimed costs for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)-funded grants, contracts, and other agreements, totaling $194.4 million. We reviewed a random sample of 100 salary expenditures and a random sample of 109 nonsalary expenditures totaling $3.1 million in claimed costs. The reviewed salary and nonsalary costs were allowable in accordance with Federal regulations and applicable guidelines.
