Review of Medicaid Payments for Services Claimed To Have Been Rendered to Deceased Recipients in Texas

We identified $19,000 in Texas Medicaid payments made to providers for 178 claims with dates of service that followed 38 recipients’ deaths. The dates of service were between July 1, 2005, and June 30, 2006.
