Review of High-Dollar Payments for Outpatient Services Processed by Palmetto GBA, Intermediary #380, for the Period January 1, 2004, Through December 31, 2005

During calendar years 2004-2005, Palmetto GBA (the contractor) overpaid six claims totaling $276,000. Generally, the contractor made the overpayments because providers incorrectly billed excessive units of service. In written comments on our draft report, Palmetto agreed to recover the $276,000 in overpayments.
