Results of Limited Scope Review at P.R.I.D.E. in Logan County, Inc.

We reviewed the financial condition of P.R.I.D.E. in Logan County, Inc. (PRIDE), as part of a nationwide series of reviews of Community Action Agencies that have received funding under the American Recovery Act of 2009 (Recovery Act).

Based on our assessment, PRIDE is financially viable, has the capacity to manage and account for Federal funds, and to operate its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) programs in accordance with Federal regulations. During our review, we noted a weakness related to a lack of written policies and procedures for use of consultants. In written comments on our draft report, PRIDE provided information on actions that it had taken to address the finding.

In determining whether PRIDE is appropriately managing and accounting for Recovery Act and regular CSBG grant funding, we recommended that the Administration for Children and Families consider the information presented in this report in assessing PRIDE's ability to operate the CSBG programs in accordance with Federal regulations.
