Review of Medicaid Payments for Services Claimed To Have Been Rendered to Deceased Recipients in Louisiana

Executive Summary

We identified $7,000 in Louisiana Medicaid payments made to providers for 799 claims with dates of service that followed 99 recipients’ deaths. The dates of service were between July 1, 2005, and June 30, 2006.
